Randal Burns

Randal Burns is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science in the Whiting School of Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University.  His research focuses on the management, performance, and security of large data sets, particularly for scientific and archival applications.  His recent results address query processing for data-intensive science applications, remote data checking for outsourced storage services, and adaptive performance management for network data protocols.

John Linwood Griffin

Dr. John Linwood Griffin is an assistant research professor with the department of computer science at Johns Hopkins, and also works as an industrial researcher and consultant for contract R&D organizations.

His areas of interest include storage systems, virtualization, network analysis and protection, and most recently the human-computer interface.

Neal Walfield is a PhD student.  His main interests are resource management and security.  His most recent major project was the development of Viengoos, a microkernel designed to explore adaptive memory management.
